What is a Mountain?
The dictionary defines a mountain as that which is 'higher and steeper than a hill'.
A mountain is a landform that rises high above the surrounding terrain in a limited area. They are made from rocks and earth.

LEARN ABOUT CAVES
boomslang cave
Boomslang Cave lies up above Kalk Bay, a relatively easy cave to access, and a great cave for novice caving if you have not done any before, as the cave tunnels right through the mountain.
It is also a fairly popular cave because of this. The bonus is that the round trip is perfect for children and a great day out for families in Cape Town.
There are two 'entrances' to the cave. Cavers regard the one that faces Fish Hoek as the entrance, and the southern entrance that faces Echo Valley as the exit. But it doesn't actually matter which side you enter from.
A cave is a hollow place in the ground, specifically a natural space large enough for a human to enter. Caves form naturally by the weathering of rock and often extend deep underground. The word cave can also refer to much smaller openings such as sea caves, rock shelters, and grottos, though strictly speaking a cave is exogene, meaning it is deeper than its opening is wide, and a rock shelter is endogene. A cavern is a specific type of cave, naturally formed in soluble rock with the ability to grow speleothems
Rocks were to the Chinese garden what sculpture was to its European counterpart. A deep appreciation for rocks stemmed from ancient religious attitudes toward nature, which included the veneration of mountains. Rocks were believed to have a concentrated amount of natural energy and symbolized the dwelling places of the Daoist immortals. A region with rugged, lofty and remote terrain was believed to produce especially potent minerals and plants that, when consumed in just the right combination, would guarantee longevity if not immortality itself. Rocks were introduced into the garden as individual specimens and as components of complex rockeries.
As an element, rock is classified by the Chinese as "yang" because it is strong, durable, hard and "male"), but the best garden stones also exhibited spareness and delicacy. Top-heavy, rugged stones that seemed to defy gravity and to hang in the air like clouds were the most highly prized.
